Hello,

I just replaced the interior in my 94 GT with one from a 99 and ripped the old wiring harness off the old dash and put it on the new one. In the process I have been trying to figure what plugs and such go where and have figured out most of them except one by the blower motor at the far end of the passenger side and a couple under the driver's side that have two prongs each inside. Any help with those would be welcomed since I have no idea what they might plug into or if they don't plug into anything.
Now, having connected everything I come to find out that the radio does not work. I have the mach 460 system and wanted to know how many plugs plug into the actual receiver. Are the ones pictured here in the front the only ones that plug into the radio/receiver?

Also just to be sure I have connected the amp and the other two terminals that connect to each other and made sure that the wires under the driver's side carpet(by the door) are connected. I also want to know what these plugs go into or if they are related to my problem as I have not located where they go:

Any and all help is greatly appreciated.

In your second picture, the larger plug is for a code reader. There is nothing that connects into it in the car.

Yes, those two connectors in the first photo plug into the radio. The two in the second photo are unrelated. The large one is a plug for an OBDII computer code reader; it is not used on our OBDI cars. It's only there 'cause Ford saved money by using the same dash assembly for all the Mustangs of our years, and the V6 is an OBDII car.

The smaller connector is used for the shift interlock on the steering column on the AODE cars. It isn't used if you have a manual tranny.

Thanks guys for the information. I am still at a loss for why the radio doesn't work. Are those the only two plugs that connect to the radio, aside from the ant. wire? Also, I wonder if the two plugs under the driver's side are the problem. Cause they both look identical aside from different wire colors. They both are gray with two prongs in them each. I should have taken a picture of those when I had the chance yesterday. One of them is in the corner near the firewall of the drivers side way the hell up in there and the other comes out from the mass of wires where the OBD connector was as well as the clock. This process has become one hell of a nightmare but know the end result is worth it.

The 2-prong connector in the corner near the firewall of the drivers side way the hell up in there is a bypass for the clutch depress sensor. On AODE cars, there's a jumper on there to complete the circuit. On manual cars, it's open like you have it so you have to push the clutch to the floor to start the car. I just converted an AODe to manual so it's still fresh in my skull.

The other one I'm not sure of offhand. I know there is another gray connector under the glove box that's for clearing any airbag codes, but the gray plastic is shaped differently.

I also installed a Mach 460 system into a car, so I think I remember all the connections. Did you hook up the connectors back to the amp under the radio? Do you have a factory CD player? The connectors look the same. There are two connectors for the Mach 460 under the kick panel on the driver's side. They go to the rear deck.

Take photos of any unknown connectors and post 'em here.

I don't have a factory CD Player. Maybe it is one of those connectors that looks the same that is causing the headache. Here is a run down as the radio connections go: I am certain that the amp underneath on the tray is plugged in. I believe there are 3 connectors that go to the amp all on the same bundle and inline. Then there are the two harnesses that plug into each other? One of them is black and one is Gray that looks identcal to the radio one. Then there are the two that go to the back of the radio. One gray and one that is black. And finally the two by the driver's side. One that has a squarish terminal with a silver shielding and then one of those two prong ones. I just don't get the problem cause it seems they are all there.
