a car im looking to buy, pristine condition inside and out has a slight problem. the owner is damn tall, and when he got the car (2nd owner) it was already super low so he didnt bother changing it. but its a bit too low for me so is there anything i can do? i really like this car. i read that with aftermarket seats there are spacers you can install to raise the seat, can i do the same? it doesnt have power seats and to both our knowledges, there is no function in raising the seat. help please!

New longer bolts (if required) and either spacer or washers. I get the impression you're thinking it should be tougher than that?

i would personally use a solid piece of steel of aluminum to space the seat... washers and such cause bolts to come loose and in the event of an accident its just not safe & could possibly break sending you flying around inside the vehicle. you can pickup a piece of box steel and then drill holes thru it with some longer bolts and that would work. just get creative.

large 3/8s in. drive sockets that are all the same size work well too.
