Raising Rear

Need to raise the rear of my car 3/8"-5/16". Anyone had luck with using poly isolators to raise the rear? My stocker's are currently worn but not overly terrible.

I don't think the isolators really help alot. I used a set of aluminum spacers from Global West.

I used the rubber spring spacers they sell in most parts stores. They go in between the coils on the spring.....work great 5yrs no problems...no more tire rub.

I saw those but the 1/2" ones claim to raise the car 5/8" thats to much.

You could always get adjustable LCA's and set the height exactly where you want.

I recently used ISO poly spacers on my MM LCA's. I put one on each lca and I no longer have problems when I have my fat girls in my ride!

Grab a sheet of delrin and use a couple hole saws to make a spacer for the lower control arm.

I would just order a sheet online, probably 1/4" thick and just stack them till i got the height right.

Got a poly cutting board going to use that to make small spacers. It sounds like the lift is about 1:1.5 Meaning a 1/2" spacer would lift the car 3/4".

Madmustanger here: for what it's worth I'm putting monroe air shocks in rear mine has no coil springs you can adjust height where you want it and not afect handling its low cost effective and if you're pulling heavy loads or packing heavy items they re great I'm looking by winter to have deep dish crome rims with normal spacing as was in the 70s so 15inx9-12in wide tires will protrude like the ones i had on my 76 comet gt boss 302 or the equivalent of todays products just have to do a little bit a time due to ss disablity income if this helps good if not at least i tryed

Not sure but i would think any hard plastic material would work.

Delrin is a patented name of a super dense plastic. Besides making shanks and billy clubs that will not set off prison metal detectors, it is used for suspension bushings where no deflections or squeaks are wanted. It is tough stuff.

A white cutting board is usually made of much softer nylon. I would not use this for a spring spacer.
