About 3 months ago I went to get in my car, it's a 93 GT, it turned over maybe a dozen times and would not start, I had to hold the gas pedal to the floor to get it to start. after that it ran and cranked great, then yesterday I stopped to get some gas, went to start the car and it popped thru the intake one time and would not start, it took 5 or 6 times cranking it to get it started. it's hard to figure out a random problem, do any of you have a place for me to start. the car is stock except for after market cat back. any help would be great.

Listen for the fuel pump to prime each time before you turn the key to start, sounds like it may be on it's way out - that would be the first thing I check.

whats the best way to check it, fuel pressure tester?
Before you turn the key to the start position, you should be able to hear the pump priming (a whirring noise coming from the back of the car)...my guess would be that on the times that it doesn't start, you won't hear the fuel pump priming.
