I've been thinking for a while about re-apolstering my front seats. I was looking to do black leather, and then just buy a black leather rear bench to match. How much do you think it would cost to do the front seats? By the way, the driver side seat is so worn on the left side from getting in and out that the bar is sticking out. ouch:shock:

Just a heads up, but it's 'Upholster', not apolster.

I'd suggest picking up some aftermarket seats before reupholstering the stock ones, because it will end up costing you about the same. Might as well just go for some weight reduction while you're at it and get some racing seats. There are some real comfortable ones out there, you just have to look.

i knew it was upolster haha. apolster just looked wrong, no wonder i couldn't find anything in the search. i already have racing seats and i love them, but since i used the stock brackets, i lost about 4 inches of leg room on the passenger side since i had to drill 2 new holes to match those on the seats. the bolt head is stopping the slider from moving anymore. the seats came with sliders but i cant for the life of me figure out how to install them which is why i used the stock ones. if anyones used them before and can point me in the right direction then it would help out a lot.

I got a quote from a couple of places around here just to do suede inserts.... $600-$650 for that.... woah!
well they have to remove them and sew them in so its about the same labor as getting the entire seat recovered....but its still high....did you try a few other places for comparrison?

Wow it seems like the norm for that stupid bar to stick out haha. I should've known getting interior work was expensive, my 23' Ford T-Bucket cost an assload for the seats to be upholdstered. Maybe I'll just stick with my racing seats and swap out the stock brackets for the manual ones that came with them. Anyone know how to install those brackets?
