re-chrome or repo bumper guards?

I bought repo bumpers but I was wondering if I should get the original guards re-chromed or get repos. Car is not concours.

I was wondering if there were any fitting issues with the repo ones.

I have repo ones and they went on fine and they look great

There has been a lot of discussion on VMF about repro bumpers recently, and the concensus has been mixed. Some have had no problem with fitment, others have had real problems, so all in all, it is very mixed.

Personally, if my original is in good shape, I would get it rechromed vs. buying a repop. Nothing is ever better than the original. This is just my opinion.

I think, if you're gonna have issues. it's with the bumper, not the guards.
My bumpers, are about 99 9/10 the size of my originals. the rrs were not a problem, but the front doesn't fit correctly. IIRC my guards lined up fine.
