re: cruise control

I bought my car last august and the cruise control has not worked since i've owned it. Today I took some initiative and pulled the inner fender to check for cracks in the vaccuum lines, or disconnected lines. Everything appeared to be good. Next, I pulled the dash pieces off around the steering wheel to check for unhooked wires for the steering wheel controls. Everything looked good. I then took a look at the brake switch (the one that turns the cruise off when you press the brakes). I'm not sure how exactly this thing works, but everything looked connected and operational. There is a vaccuum line hooked up to that switch, when the brake is depressed a little yellow chunk of plastic slides out of the vac. line, i'm assuming this causes a vac. leak which shuts off the cruise???

Anyways, what should i check next???

Mine on my 92 worked find until I did a t5 conversion. I had to drop the steering column and disconnect all the plugs. WHen it came time to button it up, I had one connector that I had no idea where it went, long story short, it was the CC. If anyone knows where it connects to, LET ME KNOW!!! :(
