Is there such thing as a real electric supercharger? There are alot of ebay ones which sell for $30+ and I looked at some of the seller's feedbacks and it looked like most people were satisfied about what they bought. I also googled Electric Supercharger and found this supercharger selling for $199. How would I know which one works and which one doesn't?

Thanks

I've heard that they are all bogus. I'm sure others will chime in on this.

Edit: HAHAHAH, look, it can push over a 2X4... It must make your car faster!

sound theory, the technology just isnt there yet. everything you see on ebay is basically a blowdryer.

Positive seller feedback?? LOL a bunch of suckers..... or most of the buyers were fart pipe Honda Civic owners HAhahahahah! Uncle Bens premium rice power lol.

Put it this way, NONE of them work. It takes PSI to push a motor and all of it's pistons + the rest of the drivetrain. CFM makes NO power unless you're blowing yard debris around.

electric supercharger = snake oil. Like the others stated air under pressure is what it takes just blowing air into it doesn't work. It would probally take a good size electric motor to make one work which equals alot of weight and probally melting the cars charging system in the process. maybe in the future but doubtful.

NO STAY AWAY!!! For an electric motor to create any type of compressed air that will increase power it the motor would be huge and a large drain on the electrical system.
