I have been a long time lurker in here. I had 2 Mustang Cobras in the past; a black 1995 SVT cobra and a black 1997 SVT Cobra.

I just priced out a 2011 Gt for 36,705. Only options are the Brembo package, 3.73 gears, security package, and HID headlights.

I won't be ordering until late in the year. How much do I expect to pay for this car?

Thanks..

Hope this helps...if you are ordering late in the year, I would advise joining the MCA or buying 100 shares of Ford stock so you will be eligible for the X-Plan pricing. That is a no-haggle $2,000 or so savings.

Then, there should be at least a $500 or $1000 Ford general incentive on it.

Additionally, they might have another rebate (this past year it was $750) if you requested a Ford catalog online.

Since no one can predict what pricing will be then, you can go by what happened this year.

You can always check Edmunds.com, too. They seem to have fairly reasonable expectations of the lowest pricing dealers are willing to give.

While we are on this topic...how flexible are dealers with pricing on ordered vehicles? Especially with getting financed through an outside lender and not the dealer. I would imagine me just giving them a sheet with what I want and them not having to do any work would help pricing out...but I could be wrong.

Your price is 8k less than what I had priced mine. What options are you getting?

I went to the dealer in the fall and priced a 2011 GT out for 28k. It was the basic model with the only options being 3.73 gears.

How long do I have to be a member of MCA to get that $2,000 discount? Also, I received the other day a brochure and there is a $500 discount at the back.

About one minute. I have found the code you need through an Internet search. I have been a member for years and used it to buy a new 2010. You are supposed to show the dealer proof that you are a member of the club but he didn't ask.
You go to fordpartners.com, enter the code and an X plan number will be generated. That is all you need.

So, the total discount that I can expect to get is;
2,000 MCA discount
1,500 rebate in my zipcode
500 coupon from the brochure

4,000 total discount?

It's not exactly a $2,000 discount for X-Plan Pricing. The calculation for the X-Plan price is: Invoice - 0.4% + $275.

You can find the invoice pricing on a site like Edmunds but you are also going to end up adding on $850 Destination & Delivery and about $500 Ford Dealer Advertising Fund (FDAF) and about $50 for Fuel which Edmunds doesn't list. (these numbers are usually baked into the MSRP but since you are going up from invoice instead, then you will see all variables involved)

Your brochure coupon was only for $500, that sucks. I requested a bunch of brochures and one of them came with a $750 personalized offer. (I ended up buying used so I didn't even need it) I think it's based primarily on the zip code if you get the offer or not.

Also, it looks like Ford is currently offering a $500 customer retail cash incentive on the 2012 models which is combinable with X-Plan pricing. I found this by building a Mustang on Ford's website.
