Ive had a rocker tick on my driver side for about 7 months now, still the same after numerous oil changes... a month ago my oil pump had locked up twisted and broke my oil pump shaft, put in a new pump and hardened shaft, cleaned the inside of the pan of all the old oil, changed oil filter etc....Once I got it back running there was no more rocker tick at all, i was like hell yes, then about 500 miles after, it started coming back little by little everday, I had put about 10 dyno pulls on that oil so i figured it would be good to change it anyway so saturday I change the oil thinking that was the problem since when i did the pump i changed the oil and it was all good...I had put about 30 miles on the new oil and it was still the same, I raced a vette 4 times, smoked his ass everytime of course n shut him up telling me he had "405hp" when he only had prob 250rwhp if he was lucky, (there were no other cars on the road btw and im very cautious with that stuff) anyways after that it got about 2x as loud and now im not sure if i should even try changing the oil again or try n find which rocker it is and readjust it n hope it helps out???.....by the way the lifters are a year old and have readjusted them two times already a while ago and didnt help out.....BTW how does everybody adjust ur rockers, do u set both when that cylinder is on the base circle of the cam OR adjust the intake when the exhaust valve is closing?? or opening?? (forget which it is) and vice versa for the intake Thanks Sean D.
