Sorry to bug you guys but im having a little problem with my Fox and I cant figure out what might be causing this. When driving as soon as I shift into second the car runs great till about 2500rpms as soon as I hit it I feel like this little spit and then I get full power again??? I only feel it for about a second if that, and on 2nd and 3rd gear. Its all stock with the exception of headers and catback. Anybody have any ideas they can share?
Thanks

Maybe time for a general tune up ? Suspect plugs, plug wires, fuel injectors, fuel filter, carbon tracking in distributor cap maybe. Run some injector cleaner through it and see what happens. Just some quick thoughts...

Sounds like something that had happened to me for awhile and I just fixed it a couple weeks ago.. I replaced the Idle Air Control and it worked..

Hope this helps.

The IAC should not hold you back while you're accelerating, especially in only two gears.

If you have a vac gauge, you can check for an exhaust restriction. If that was the case, you'd bog down and not recover. The burp could be from something like EGR gasses bleeding or an ignition or other anomaly.

Did you pull codes yet?

Codes first, but EGR sounds like a good place to check. My ex's car had a similar issue, and it turned out to be the EGR valve was sticking open causing too much exhaust going into the intake. It wasnt a 5.0, but the principle is the same.

Yeah I pulled codes and didn't get anything major. Code 10, and I'm not sure the other number but it was something about the netural switch or something like that?

You got code 10?

Run KOER codes. You might need to make code 67 (if that's what you had) go away first.

Sorry to bring this to everybodys attention again but I have yet to figure out the problem....I pulled codes with both the car running and not and I get no codes except for KOER code 12 which is Idle to high.. I highly doubt that would be the issue?? I have done a full tune up, spark plugs, oil change, air filter, cleaned out the mass air unit, cleaned out the throttle body, injector cleaner, checked out the injectors for leaks nothing, cap and rotor was a little bad but nothing sand paper didnt fix. The only other thing I can think of is my fuel filter which I havent changed out but do you think that would be the issue? And just to be clear the IAC could or could not be the problem? Also I want to check my first post....I was driving on the freeway on fourth gear and noticed it also it seems to me that it does it more often when the car is not fully warm or when the freeway starts going up in elevation? Any help would be greatly appreciated thanks guys.

If the rotor and cap look bad I'm not sure I would trust a sandpaper fix. The sandpaper dust could contribute to possible carbon tracking. They are really pretty cheap items to replace. Also I don't see if you have new plug wires, but I'd get new wires too, if they are old it will make a big difference. It really sounds to me like a breakdown in the secondary high voltage ignition system when the load and demand is highest (like a burst of throttle). You mentioned it might be worse when it not fully warmed. If that's the case you might want to check/replace the intake air charge sensor / coolant temperature sensor. If it seems to be affected by barometric pressure changes (change in elevation) you might suspect the MAP/BP sensor.
