Rear axle bump stop???

Those that have installed lowering springs on your mustang did you change out the rear axle bump stop??? I cut mine but don't know if its worth buying a new one???

I run the black version of the one you posted it came with my Eibach sportlines

mine is almost like that.. it came with my H&R SuperSports....

If you dont install the shorter bumpstop you will not have full travel with the shorter springs. You will bottom againist the stock stop on the smallest of bumps. If you compare the two the stocker is about 5 inches tall the aftermarket is what 1.75-2 inches tall maybe.

If your springs didn't come with the stop, I suggest getting one so you don't bottom out as easily. What springs did you get? I think they probably should have come with the new stop, unless you got them used or something.

I swapped to the one that came with my H&R springs.. its a LOT smaller, only about 1" of it is solid.. have yet to feel the rear bottom out... the front has though, plenty. :x

I got a shorter one with my H&R Supersports.

In this picture you can see the stock one on the left and the new one installed on the mount on the right.
