Hey everyone I would like to know if every 8.8" Ford rearend have the same mounting points. I would like to go buy a used rearend from the junkyard and build it up with new 31 spline axles and an Auburn or some sort of posi-lock or whatever it's called(if anyone can point me in the right direction, I would appreciate it) and I can't just buy the parts and put them in my stock axle b/c my car is daily driven and I don't have a lot of time to do everything I need to do. I would like to take my time building the new rearend and do it right with all the parts I want including 4:10 gears or maybe 3:73s b/c I want to put forced induction on my GT in the next year or so once I redo my fuel system. One of the local junkyards have a complete 8.8" Ford rearend out of a 1985 Ford F-150. Will this fit my car? Just the housing, since I am planning on redoing the whole insides?
