Rear axle questions

I have a 92 lx that is wrecked and am looking to buy an 84 lx to do a complete swap on my question is the rear axle in 84 doesnt have the quad shock set up, can I do a one for one swap or is there more involved in this, and will the 8.8 bolt up minus the kicker shocks.

Exactly the same dimensions. You can unbolt the quad shock mount from the 92 chassis side and then bolt it onto the 84 if you want to, you will just need to drill some holes and maybe get some bolts/nuts. You will need to swap the hard chassis brake lines also if you want dual exhaust since the 84 has the line on the side and the 92 has the line in the middle.
