hello, my car has 4 cats( i have dual exhaust) if that helps. i have 4 o2 sensors. 2 on the headers and the the other 2 are either between the cats or maybe after the last ones. i think they are between the two though. if i delete the last 2 cats, will i get an o2 code.

to my recolection YES, but someone else will either back me up or sorrect me, but why would you want to delete the last two? isnt gutting the second cats bad (for sound quality?) i was always told if i was going to gut my cats, only gut the first ones. (My pass side first cat is crushed (prior owner) so we want tot just fit a straight pipe in place of that first cat, and we would do it on the other side as well for balance, lol)

well i am not sure but i may have a clogged cat. i was just going to weld a pipe in it's place, not gut them. i know if they are clogged, they will start to glow red after a few minutes of driving and i have been haveing some serious problems with the same symptoms of a bad cat. right now i am not to worried about sound quality anymore. i got an 89 notch as my toy. i just want my fuel mileage back and my driveability back also.
