I have a convertible 98 cobra with eibach springs currently, plan on going coilover and different shocks and struts. I am going to do the rear first and then the front later, what would be a good rear coilover kit?? I hear some have problems with rubbing against the frame or tires, also if I go coilover will my lower controll arms still be used ??

the only rear coilover kit you should be thinking about is from maximum motorsports. i hade their full coilover kit front and rear with bilstein shocks and the ride was great with zero noise. i also had no problems with rubbing on the frame or tires and this was with 18x11" wheels and a 315 tire. your lower control arms will still be used however you just wont have the spring setting on it. how do you drive your car? if you drive it hard in corners or something along those lines one thing i will recommend is that you do both the front and rear at the same time. with coilovers simply in the rear, or the front could make your handling somewhat unstable in a tight situation. this is coming straight from the MM website and they know a thing or two.

Well I really dont drive my car hard in corner, It is a daily driver but might see some dragstrip time, I want something that will give me good weight transfer and also have a good ride. I plan on doing front coilovers also but going to do the rears first, any other suggestions

lol, hell yeah post it up i wouldnt mind seeing it. it was about a year and a half ago. i took it up last feb 04, and things kind of snowballed and it wound up being there until november. jeremys and i's car were almost identical when they left.

okay if you're going to be doing drag racing then MM arent exactly ideal for you. their rear springs come in 2 1/4 diameter springs only and they dont make a rear spring geared towards drag racing. the problem here is i havent heard of a decent rear coilover kit for a daily driver. most of them the are noisey and pretty unbareable. try griggs i dont know if they offer any spring rates geared towards drag racing or not.

Eibach makes a coilover kit too. It's not for drag racing and it costs 500.00 less than the MM one. I'm sure it's not as good as MM's but Eibach is a pretty reputable name. There are also alot less parts involved with Eibachs kit. www.eibach.com
