Hey guys,
I have a bit of a problem. Seems i can't get a good diagram on how drum brakes on my 8.8 go together. Seems like i loosened one thing, and everything sort of fell off in my lap! I have a haynes book, but they don't have an exploded view of the drum assembly. I feel like such a moron....been blessed with disc brakes on all my mustangs :)
A diagram would be great. All info appreciated!
Thanks
-John

Hey John. I have a solution: Disk brake convo!. Just kidding. I kinda know how they go together, but it's a pain remembering the spring locations. The manuals suck, but I'd try google or something like that. Good luck man!

Thanks Rob...love to do the conversion, but i really have a lot of other stuff to do at the moment on the car. Maybe down the road i'll do it if i can get it to slow down on my 10 second pass :)
I am having trouble acessing the pictures posted above. Says the site is unavailable? Thanks for posting them thought, i really appreciate all the help!
Pretty sad that i can build an engine, but i can't put drum brakes together....damn i'm such a retard!

Dude, you aren't messing around, eh? I can't wait to see this pig. Maybe it'll keep up with mine lol. J/K, mine is going to stay as is for now, with autocross minded suspension upgrades and the paintjob on the boards. I've got enough power to spin em up in 2nd from a roll, so that's good for me.

Yeah i definately aint' messing around on this one. I am building it ground up, so every part put in is the part i want in, ya know? Like zero compromise :)
I haven't seen your car since you bought my old rims. I've seen pics, but not in person. Chris tells me you are real busy with school so we don't see ya online much :(
Anyways....yeah this car is gonna go like a bat out of hell....well...untill it has to take a corner lol :rlaugh:

Yeah, school is kicking my butt. I'm either at a clinical, in a lab, or workin, so i don't get anything done anymore. I added a 75mm MAF and a 70mm TB to my car, and she goes good now, but I want to pull the heads and have them worked. Right now I can't do it, but eventually... Otherwise she still looks the same, hopefully the paint is going on this spring, so long as nothing breaks.

Heh. It might as well be a Clydesdale than a Mustang, 'cause she's trottin in the snow. My dad bought a turdcell wagon for a beater, but I'll only get to use it on really bad days. Luckily UMASS cancels class if the weatherman even says the word snow, so I'm not worried. I made it through last winter only to get hit in the spring.
