rear end gear oil

i have a 1996 mustang GT i am wanting to change my rear end oil with royal purple synthetic and i am wanting to know how much oil to put in when its empty?

I believe its right around two qts. Stay away from RP its junk. Mobil1 FTW.

I have always used two quarts of Redline 75W90 gear oil
and one bottle of friction modifier.

Amsoil Severe Gear Duty 75w90 2 bottles, and 1 bottle of Ford friction modifier.

2 quarts Redline 75w90 I always add a bottle of Friction Modifier but I'm not sure you have too. Redline is the Only Way To Go

Everyone's got their preferences over oil brands. Unless you are using "Joe Blow's recycled oil" in your rear...you'll be fine with any of the major oil manufacturers.

In the rear, i prefer Amsoil, followed by Mobil 1.
