How much would I expect to pay for an 8.8 rear end out of the bone yard?

What's the difference between 5.0 and 4 cyl rear ends? I know where I can get tons of 4 banger rears.

check www.car-part.com. Locally (NE Ohio) GT rears are going for 400-900 dollars.

4 banger rears (unless it is out of a TC) are 7.5 open diff.

I paid $100 for a 100% complete 8.8 rear (minus brakes) with all stock internals inside. Then I gutted it and put good parts in it. 31 spline differential, 4.30 gears, 31 spline axles, all new bearings, seals and races and a girdle

That's kinda what I was expecting to pay. There is one on eBay right now for $400 and I don't wanna pay that kinda money for one.
