Rear End Refreshning Questions

I need to replace my carrier and pinion bearings(at least probably) cause of the rear noises associated. My question is, should I have them replace the stock 28 spline axels with a stronger 28 spline ones. Which brand?

I think you meant should you replace the stock 28 spline with 31 spline...

That is a tough decision which only you can make. It depends a lot on your plans/goals for the car.

BUT while your rear-end is being worked on have the axle tubes welded and the exterior painted with a paint that goes right over rusty metal

I meant 28 spline. My goals are steet, and track 3 or 4 times a year. Real basic

Oh right, you are talking about just installing better quality 28 spline axles... I do not think it would be worth it but that is just my opinion.
