I'm in the middle of gutting out my 8.8 to be powder coated. Is there a step by step link to help me. So far I've got the brakes off and axles out. I'm stuck with how to go about getting the gears and suff out next. I've never done that before and I don't want to mess anything up. After it's powder coated I'll take it to a shop to get it put back together with better gears. Any help would be great.

why do you need to take the gears out? you're powder coating the *outside* right? have the rear-end shop swap your gears for you, I'd leave 'em in for now.

I'm powdercoating the inside and outside of the housing.It helps with oil flow and drainage when changing the gear oil.
