I'm upgrading my 8.8 to a Moser 9. Rear end is in, but the driveshaft flange yoke doesn't match up to the rear end's pinion yoke. Has anyone done this upgrade? I believe the pinion yoke is a 1350, but I'm not 100% sure. I bought this brand new from an individual. I've included some pics. If anyone happens to the sizes of pinion yokes and can identify what I have, that'd definitely help too. I think I need this, but then I'm unsure which u joint. Also have some questions about the brake lines on this one vs the 8.8 if anyone happen know about that as well.

Sorry if we aren't much help. I don't think there is anyone on here making over 2000hp and therefore requiring a 9" rear end.

You're posting in the fox talk section. The 99.8% or so regulars here make ~350 hp or less. The other 5 guys have an irs or a beefed up 8.8 which works flawlessly.

I would call Moser. More than likely, you will need new u joints and straps at the end. Hopefully, that won't change the length too much by removing the rear flange. You might want to try calling a local drive shaft shop as well. Getting custom ones made isn't to terribly expensive. Is the 9" too much for the typical Fox body? Probably but, did you at least get a good deal on the rear end? Looks like a nice piece and the disc brakes are pretty sweet too. I probably would have bought it too for the right price and especially being able to bolt right up.

Yes it was a good deal (compared to what Moser wanted), which is why I made the move. $1500 for the brand new rear end, 31 spline axles, 3.50 gears (I had 4.10's but I'm changing directions with my car..less strip, more street) and I got to upgrade to disc brakes at the same time. I'll stop by a driveline shop tomorrow. I think the length is still good. If they can't help me, and I'm sure they can, I'll give Moser a call.

I would call Moser anyway. Now is the time to set the axle up correctly. If you are running a 9" with stock cast axles, it's not really an upgrade. It's also a good time to put good 3" studs in them.

the drive shaft place might know of a U joint you can keep your stock shaft and just change to a 1330/1350 joint but i dont know of a part number for that one. but if not its only like 200 bucks to have a new shaft made and balanced.
