hey there, i'm thinking of changing my stock 327's and was hoping to get some advice on the best set up for weekend use... I hate the fact that i have to drop down to 3rd gear on the highway when i feel a threat coming on....

4.10s or higher, depending on your application/use/modifications (it may be helpful to list your model year car and its mods).
I would also suggest running a "keyword" search for "gears" via the search feature. You'll find numerous threads discussing all the pros/cons to the popular gear ratio choices...enjoy.
i wouldn't go lower than a set of 373's. I have stock gears so I know what you mean by the long ass gears. i can put up with the stock gears because im just keeping my cobra in stock form.

Really just looking for that little extra on the highway, not to fussed about coming out of the hole... more concerned about keeping er straight.... _
