rear seat star shaped bolt

im trying to get my rear seat out and one of the bolts on each side (the one that holds the bottom of the seat belt in) has a star pattern on the head of the bolt. its like an allen wrench but more star like. what is that called and what size is it? i need to go buy a tool to get that bolt out

Its called a TORX bolt. You need a TORX socket, i think its a T-45 or a T-50. You can buy a whole set of TORX sockets, youll need them on other parts of the car anyway

Your local auto parts store will have the Torx driver in a 3/8" drive socket format.

Ya, i broke 1/2 a dozen trying to get mine out. finally i had to use a cutting wheel and cut the bolts in half, and break the heads off.

Mine came out very easy (had them in and out over 10 times, lol)

i'm 99% sure it's a T-45 bit you want

I had to heat mine up from the bottom the first time out.
