yes, 6x8 but watch the depth, My Cerwin Vega!'s are Deep speakers and i had to do a little modification to the car to make them fit. The sound makes it all worth it though.

Are the rear speakers in hatch backs and notch backs the same size or no?

I put in 6 1/2s. I used adapter plates. Works really well, round speakers are much better than oval speakers.

I would go with Pioneer Speakers, but preference is all personal. If you go to an audio store they can show you what all of the different speakers sound like, and you judge for yourself what you like the most for your buck.

Theres no open wire. I used butt-connectors and the conectors that came with the Pioneer speakers had insulators around them.

I would go
with 6X8 Alpine S type speakers because I heard them before in my
buddys stang and they sounded great!
