A few weeks ago, sadly, my 01 Mustang was in an accident. I had to have the rear-end rebuilt on it. Rear axle assembly, brake pads, rotors, etc. I just got the car back and there seems to be an intermitent squeek coming from the rear end. It sounds like it's on the passenger side. The squeeking speeds up as I speed up and when I apply the brake a little it seems to stop somewhat.

Could this be just the brake pads or am I possibly looking at something bigger?

Sounds like a brake pad problem. What kind of pads did you use? With Semi Metallic pads sometimes a larger than normal piece of metal will be in the pad.

It makes noise but usually quiets down when you apply the brakes. Or one of the rotors could be etched and that is making the noise.
