Ok on my way home tonight I heard a loud cracking sound coming from my rear suspension. At first I thought gears or a diff problem but thats not the case(completely different then the "clunk" sound a rear end makes). It does it when I make lane changes, get into or off the throttle, hit small bump's. I checked the shock mounts both upper and lower and those are fine. If I move the car's rear end side to side it gets really loud, but hard to push the rear end around and be under it listening. This cars starting to make me mad, once I figure out one problem 4 more pop up. Anyone have any idea's what I should look for first? Has anyone else had this problem? Thank's in advance for any input!

I guy I work with had the same exact problem. His axel was going all up into the floorpan and everything. We lifted the car and his upper controll arm bushings were shot. It's hard to tell by looking but when we took them off, they were completly torn. We put in some FMS uppers, which are just beefier stock replacements with poly bushings on the axle side and if fixed his problems.

Checked the upper control arms last night and the bushings are definately wore out. Would it be advisable to replace the lower comtrol arms right now as well? Dont start my new job for a week and a half so moneys tight, but if I replaced the uppers now and the lowers in a month or so should I have any problem's?
