rear suspension?

do 96-98 gt's have independent rear suspension? im asking because im probably drop an 30' cobra motor in and the 6 speed. i wanted to know if the rear end is going to have to be replaced as well ( my 98' is also and auto).

no. Solid rear. seems to me you could just buy a different length Driveshaft if it doesn't line up and stick with the solid...
