I was driving around Saturday on my way down to Issaquah and an Audi TT pulls up next to me and I thought he was trying to provoke me to race him. So, I looked over and he looked over and then looks down and yells to me "Your Tire is flat". So, I pull into AM/PM and fill up with air and drive to Discount Tire and tried to get it fixed. The guy at Discount charged me 18.50 to fix my tire and then went out to the car to see if he can find the hole. He comes back in a couple minutes later and says "I'm sorry but we can't fix your tire, your tires are beyond bald (wire showing)". He goes on to tell me that the tires are illegal. So, I drove the stang home and parked it in the garage and sure enough wire is showing. I was wondering if anyone had a set of tires they are trying to get rid of?

Wow -- $18.50? Things sure are different here. Back east alot of places will plug your tire free and only charge you anything if they take it off and put a patch on ($6.00 or so).

Anyway, what size tire or what vehicle is this for?

Go to a different discount tire, or go to LEs Schwab next time. Both places are KNOWN for fixing flats/leaks for free if they think it will get you in the door to buy a full set later..

i got a set of 275x45x17 nitto drag radials they are to the wear bars tho. but then again they dont come with much tread either if these are still good then i will sell them to you.(anyone know)? from past expericence's i would'nt go to schwabs 4 anything not even FREE air. go to americas tire. i got these tires brand new everything out the door for $345. then they dismounted and remounted my street tires for only $25.if my DR'S are still good then i'll sell them for $100. peace
