I'm fixing the rear view mirror, and I need an adhesive that will bond the mirror itself to the bracket. I checked local hardware stores, but all of the mirror adhesives that they had don't specifically list plastic as a surface that the adhesive will bond to.

Any suggestions?

Go to your local Schucks/Kragen/napa/ auto zone.
They have them there, and they are fairly cheap...

The only adhesive I see from them is to mount the mirror bracket to the windshield itself. I need something that is ok to use on the reflective aluminum surface, will bond to plastic, and will stay flexible for the day/night adjustment.

Good point, I never thought of going to Tap; it's one town over for me.

epoxy is good stuff, if you get the 60 second stuff you better act fast, it gets hard in a heck of a hurry......
