Rear Window Defroster (hatch)

I was wondering, all the wires that go to the hatch are not hooked up. (previous owner ) and i figure thats why the rear window defroster doesnt work. but i looked at the rear glass and nothing seems to look like it would be part of a defroster. does my car even have it?

Does your car have lines running across the rear window. Since you have the switch it came stock, unless somebody replaced the glass.

The little "Plugs" should slide over little tabs on the lower sides of the window.

nope, no lines. thats what i figured (that the glass was replaced)
