I'm doing a straight up rearend swap on my '97 Cobra due to damage during an accident. Are the driveshaft and Rear U-Joint flange a "matched set" or can I just bolt my driveshaft up the the flange on the new one? Concerned about balancing and such.
I pretty sure any 94-98 gt rear is the same as a cobra till you get to the brakes and the brake mounting hardware. swaping won't hurt you balancing unless there something wrong with the driveshaft or the rear it self. and FYI the 99-04 gt rear will fit your car too but it's about 1"- 3/4 to 2" wider at the axle hub than a 94-98
