Rebuilding 1986 GT convertible

LMR had the switch for the top thank you for the information. They claim that the window switch assembly has to be taken apart and replace the switches individually can anyone confirm this? It doesn't sound correct to me.

They are telling the truth. I've had to replace a couple of window switches on my car. You have to pull the switch assembly out of the armrest and then you can take it apart. Its fairly straightforward. I'll check later and see if I have any pics of when I did mine.

Those are not the same switches I have

Just so we are clear I have never worked on a convertible or an 86. Im assuming that the replacement switch is this one from LMR.

The switch appears to look a bit different, but if you look at how it connects it appears to be just like the newer, 87-93, style switch.

Making progress with the top got the new switch yesterday and installed today. Considering different paint colors? Not sure what would work best with the gray upholstery and black trim a dark silver metallic or white opinions?
