How stock is the motor other than the GT40 heads? Do you have a full exhaust? Have you changed the upper and lower intakes? Do you have anything other than the stock airbox and piping? Stock throttle body? Auto or manual? What rear gears?

You see where I am going with this? Without any of this basic info and how you intend to drive the car (street, street/strip, track only) and what rpm range you want the power in its like throwing a lawn dart up in the air at a crowded family reunion and expecting it to hit big foot's pinky toe.

Just curious, what does "Broke a lifter at the cam mean"? Did the lob on the cam flatten and damage the lifter also? Because if the cam isn't damaged, a new one (lifter) can be put on a old cam. You can't do the opposite though.

My question too
Explain lifter "broke at the cam"
Post a picture, we all want to see
I think I would just use another stock Ford cam
You were not using a stock cam? how about the lifters? were they all stock and you broke one or?
I've seen a few spiders break and lifters turn sideways then they break, is that what happened?
