Recommend me some brake pads/ rotors for a street car.

I was at a Supra meet today (that also had a few RX7's, a badass ZO6 and some nice EVO's) and I realized how wimpy my brakes looked. I already have set of PBR calipers and some stock machined rotors waiting to be installed but I think I want to go with soem new rotors too now. I want some mostly for the look as I dont do any road courses and stuff like that. Extra brakeing power is a benifit too but they need to look good. What rotors can I get? Can I only get the 11" ones for the front? Also what pads? I want little or no brake dust/ noise and something not too expensive. I bought some paint today to make my PBR;'s pretty, im gonna write DUAL PISTON across them to make them look expensive. Are stainless steal lines worth it too?

Try e/bay..I bought all 4 brembo cross drilled and slotted rotors for my Cobra, for $340 to my front door. You already have the same calipers as the cobras...as long as you have @ least 17 wheels you should be able to go with the 13 inch rotors. As far as pads go, I like the stk ford pads.

I jsut found this on a 13" rotor with the PBR brakes..

3. Notes on the '99+ GT PBR calipers:
The '99+ PBR calipers are designed for the 10.8" V6/GT stock rotors. They are a very economical upgrade for the SN95s and I would suggest anyone upgrading to the SN95 spindles and GT rotors to use them instead of the 94-98 cast single piston units. They will not work with the 13" Cobra rotors, only the 10.8" V6/GT rotors!

For a DD I would use drilled rotors, they have a tendency to crack btween the drilled holes. Also by being drilled they have removed some of the braking surface. I would look into slotted rotor *note they will wear brakes out faster so keep that in mind*

You just told me to get both. Also how much faster will they wear out pads? Can I be good for a couple of years or what.

about 2 years ago i went with ford motorsports heavy duty rotors. there NOT cross drilled or slotted.
but they are bigger. and fit really nice with my stock 17" cobra rims. i also put Hawk pads with them. i must say i was impressed with the braking power. and the fact my rims don't turn black as quick is a plus also.

So you had bigger rotors with the stock calipers?
