I'm sure alot of cars that have seen even somewhat daily driving are nearing the point to where they need new motor mounts and mine is in that boat. Passenger side is completely torn though. What brand(s) should I go for and then the next and much more expensive question is, should I get a new K-member? I just bought new struts, springs and such so going coilover is out of the question, but is it worth it changing the K-member with these parts or should I change the mounts and call it a day?

Well you can do the k-member as well most aftermarket units allow the use of stock control arms. And as far as mounts I would go with urethane mounts from prothane or energy suspension. Mine has prothane mounts and I feel they were worlds better than the solid mounts that were on my car when I bought it.

i run upr solid motor mounts along with the upr k-member and i love it. major improvement over stock for sure! You might not want the solid mounts for a daily driver though

Ok well I think the solids are out of the question. Is the install of the motor mounts 1 that ya'll would take on or let a shop handle it? It involves jacking the motor up and lowering the K-member and then its some simple bolts but how tough is it to get to that point without a lift?

Motor mounts arent to bad and yes a upr k member would be worth it, the extra weight reductionwould be great and its a huge difference, even though you wont have the coilovers the weight reduction still helps alot.

It's a DD man, a tubular K-frame is a waste of cash. I'd get some poly motor mounts, install them and be done. Stock motor mounts for 4.6L cars are hard to find anyways. I built a couple 4.6L cars a couple years apart and EACH time, the dealer and 50resto were out of the rubber mounts. Just go poly and be done.

I also want to add that I do not notice any more vibrations with those mounts versus stock rubber mounts. I also have poly steering rack bushings in that car that has the poly motor mounts. No issues. Car seems to be really tight.
