Redline???

quick question.... i want to know my redline so i know what pill to put in my shiftlite...its a 289 bored 30 over, mild cam, c4, 2.80 rear, when i get on her, she shifts at 4200rpm. im guessing maybe 4600? but not sure? any ideas?

i have almost the same mods and i get mine to 5,300 maybe more...seems to me u are shifting early, but again, i have a t5 so that makes a dif right?

your redline, im sure is much higher. However, you should shift about 2-300 rpm above your peak HP point. That peak point is what you need to figure out (dyno) - if you are serious about it. Shifting at your redline wont do much for you.

Your transmission wont make a difference as to the 'redline' of your engine

well i guess i better go visit the local dyno.

get it dyno tuned...well worth the money
