hey guys, the car is coming back from paint and one I'm trying my best to keep it it as stock looking as possible, that means I'm putting all the emblems back on.
My question is,
Is it possible to just get a small brush and red and white and blue paint and black paint (like model paint) and just paint the emblems and the gas tank emblem? and then cover them with a non gloss clear coat?
or
Do you guys think it would look cool if I just get all the emblems and stuff re chromed (if thats possible)
or
Is it not worth keeping the emblems on
or
Is it not worth it and just buy a new emblem kit?

Yes. That is how companies who restore guages, trim etc. do it. Getting the color match can take some trial and error. Go to a hobby store that has a huge model paint selection. I don't think you need the clear coats. Most of the paints I think are origanaly done in gloss enamel.

Repro parts dont last half as long as the factory chrome did.Just use some 0000 steel wool and clean them if they arent pitted or peeling.
