Why nothing is bolted to the cover from the reinforcement that I can see. I have to replace the reinforcement because I was rear ended. Does anybody have a write up with pictures on how to take the reinforcement out?
The black foam is riveted to the steel beam as well as molded into it. You can't get the steel out without getting the black foam out and you can't get the black foam out without removing the rear cover. I guess you could always destroy the black foam but, how will you get a new one in? Bottom line is you are going to have to take the rear bumper cover off.
From what I can remember you take the rear lights out and there are some screws there, as well as some in the wheel well. I might be forgetting some, but just look, and slowly take it off without forcing them.
