Brodeur, read this before you wire it up!!!!!
i sent you a pm,but in case you dont get it first. your diagram is wrong (sorry, but important). if you hooked it like it is, starting at the fan output (87) and worked around that way, and if your "12 volt in" and "ground" were used for terminals 85 and 86, you could short the battery to ground. (no labels on the terminals in the pic).

here it is. make the feed side of the switch 12 volts key on only (not ground). this goes to 86. 85 is ground. 30 is fused power from solenoid. 87 is to the fan (87A is not used). this will work. dont want to see you fry your new fan. Or worse.

hey thanks..yeah u got my message about how the relay i have isnt liek most conventional ones so the 87 and 30 are flipped around...

You'll also need a 30A flyback diode if you go this route and you'll be stressing the motor beyond it's design. (it was designed to switch from low to high, not off to high)
