I'm not really sure about this, im really wanting to charge my Mach 1 of get a 00+ GT thats charged up, with a low boost let say a car has 15K miles and you throw one on, driving nicely with the occasional 1/4 run, how many miles can you expect before you have problems. I know this is a hard question but has anyone blown theirs after a blower, if so when was it put on what year is it how hard do you drive it and how many miles were their when you had problems.

I've got over 30K with a blower at 10psi. A lot of it was on the gas. Get it dyno tuned and let the fun begin.

Mach 1s are supposed to have a pretty high compression ratio so I don't really know if you can just charge it stock like a GT and get away with it.

Blown 4.6 guys @ 8-10 PSI, what are your average quarter mile times on slicks?

**Also note everyone who has posted is using a centrifugal supercharger.

You're going to be boosting slightly less with a KB to make equal power. 9psi on KB != 9psi on Vortech

I've got 15k on my Roush with about 6k being blown. No problems so far here *knock on wood*.

The car was professionally tuned my Mike Murillo and sees occasional boost. Been raining too much here lately....

The best advice I can give you if you ask a lot of questions here is.........Don't take advice about blowers from guys who don't have one

Couple of factors you must consider

1) tune. This is the most important. Detonation will blow your motor....fast. Make sure your're tuned by someone reputable and consevative!

2) If your 5 speed you've got a forged crank. But those pistons and rods won't hold more than 400 rwhp for too long.Don't get gready and your block will last 100,000 plus!
