Relocated Alternator

I relocated the alternator to lower it as low as I could. I removed the PS and Ac compressor, I also put the coil on the head...I also found a belt to make this work! Also the stock tensioner worked but put thye idler pulley on it to get the belt to rap as much as possible on the water pump pulley..

Next step is to clean up the engine bay by relocating any possible wire....and the battery to the trunk...

That's a neat setup, and I would have never thought to do that. You are running the ripped side of the belt on a smooth pulley though. I'd swap it out for a ribbed pulley. A new pulley will be in the $20 range, and will make it look correct. It will also make the belt more secure, and keep it from rubbing.

Yeah I am gonna do that when I sell the n2o kit...in order to buy parts for the stang I must something from 2 buy it as of now...as of now I'm just working with what I have...

Oh yeah and I'm going to try to find the next pulley size after that to to restrain it from slipping as much as possible....

This would also solve problems with valve cover interference with the altenator.

So what exactly did you do to the bracket? Or is it just flipped around?

Yes sir! I flipped it down cut the smog pump part of it of and grinded down the edges to make it look clean and not sharp edges..I also filled in the back side with quicksteel. Oh yeah and I had to drill a extra hole on the bracket to have to bolts on the head....
