I've seen the compustar system on ebay for about 250, which is a great deal b/c our cost is 225 for the starter/alarm. It gives me piece of mind when I park my car about 3 blocks from school, plus, it was about -20 last week, so a warm car is nice too.

NO, the only time that the pats is bypassed is when the remote starter sends a ground signal to the module after YOU tell it to. Otherwise, PATS will work like normal. We sell for about $429 installed in a PATS car, but the starter itself can probably be purchased for under 80 on ebay. I recomend a 1250 model, but it must be a manual transmission model. They don't cost anymore, but you must use a manual transmission specific model. I personally have a compustar spread spectrum unit that is also an alarm with 1mile + range. If someone sets off my alarm, it will page me by beeping and vibrating. It is also a starter but sells for about $7-800 installed.

no, This system is made by compustar. There are multiple pager units on the market but none that I know of that use the spread spectrum technology with that amount of range. Most 2 way systems use fm signal.
