Remove inner pinion bearing race from inside of housing.

how hard is it to remove the race without ruining it.My problem is that the inner bearing from the housing in my car is kinda wobbly,spinning it by hand.
I have another housing laying around and the bearing that was in it is better so id like to use that one. Or instead of swapping the races would be ok to use it not with its original race? .

I pounded a screwdriver inbetween the race and the pinion to get it started so the gear puller could reach it. I used 2 screwdrivers and a 5 lb deadblow mallet. After all this, the race was used on my 3.73's and the gears are silent.

Hence...

Races can take a beating if need be.

Be careful but dont worry too much. If the race has smooth motion, it is probably ok to use.
