I installed FMS B springs a few months ago, and I'm not happy with how high the back end sits compared to the front. I don't really want to cut the back springs if I can help it. When I installed the springs, I put in new polyurethane isolators.

Have any of you ever run without spring isolators in the rear? Did it effect ride quality or interior noise much? I figure I can probably lower about 1/2" by removing the isolators, but if it's going to make weird noises when I go over a bump or something like that, I don't want to deal with it.

Iwashmycar, I know you dealt with this a while ago, what did you end up doing?

Thanks.

Jeff

you should be fine. I dont run any isolators in the front and only the bottom one in the rear.

got pics? i'm looking for a spring set that will lower my car 1" max in the front and 1/2" max in the back, or just leave it stock and buy shorter fronts, i like the high back look

Ok, sounds like I'll just yank the back ones out.

Mustang78, I'll try to get some pics on level ground so you can see how it sits. It's noticably higher in back, maybe what you're looking for.

I don't make it down to Olympia much any more, but it's good to know you're local.

Here's a couple pics of my car. I didn't have a chance to go find a nice flat spot, so I took them where it's parked in my driveway. The driveway slants downhill, and for some reason, cars parked in it always seem to lean a little to the right. I took a pic from both sides the best I could so you can see how it looks.

It looks a lot better in that 2nd pic, I'll definitely have to yank 'em out when I get some time.

Thanks.
