I've been busting my ass now for about 3 hrs trying to remove the factory brake rotors.

All i'm trying to do is change the brake pads and get the rotors resurfaced. I CANNOT GET THESE STUPID ROTORS OFF THE CAR.
I've done the brakes on my 95 and 94GT about 4 times and never had a problem removing the ROTORS. WHY are these Cobra Rotors so damn hard to get off. Do i need to open up the bearing hub and undo a bolt or something?

What??????

Calipers are OFF, Spindle Caliper bracket if OFF, the only thing to do is remove the BLOODY ROTOR?????

Have you tried using a BFH (big f'n hammer) yet???

Spray some penetrating lubricant (Liquid Wrench, PB Blaster, WD-40, etc) onto the rear of the rotor mating surface and whack the rotors off with the BFH...

Unfortunately, they get rusted on solid between the back of the rotor and the hub surface. Once you get them off, use some grease on the hub surface so they won't rust up again. And, yeah, it takes some force with the BFH with maybe a block of wood so you don't mess up your rotors. Although, some have had to ruin them to get them off.

Good luck....

I got it OFF FINALLY

FINALLY!!!

I used my Harmonic dampener puller to get it off. I placed the puller inbetween the rotor and the spindle. The point of the puller was pressing on the inside of the rotor and it just broke loose. It took me about 1min to get both Rotors off with the puller, After 3HRS of pounding with a BFH and wood. Well atleast I didn't damage anything.

And Ya, that thing was RUSTED!!!!
