Removing foglight lenses?

The housing is there, but the bulb and socket are gone. The wires come about 6 inches away from the housing. Maybe placing blame prematurely, as it may be possible that the socket untwisted from the housing since I replaced the bulb a month ago and somehow lost it while driving, but looking at the wires, I would definitely say they were cut.

On a side note, the housings I ordered from mustang tuning came with brackets too! Not a bad deal for $79.00. Anyway, does anyone know where I could get the silicon stuff to put around the lense to seal it, just in case?

I sealed them up with silicone last night. Now about to go give the install a try. Wish me luck.

Also, I'm starting to doubt my silverstar purchase. Are they really the way to go for 9007 headlights? Any other opinions on good and bright 9007's I could get would be welcomed. I'll post pics after the install, hopefully.

Anyway, the install is done, and they look GREAT! I'll get pics tomorrow.

So I got to work today and noticed that both lights are now out. They worked last night and this morning most of the way in (I could see them reflecting in the back of the car in front of me at stoplights). Then I parked, got out, locked it and noticed they didnt blink on when I locked it like they usually do. So I got back in and turned them on and nothing, they are both out.

I think it is just wiring, because I might not have put the wires to the bulbs tight enough, but I will check it out later. I don't think I would have blown a fuse because they are the same stock bulbs, just in different housings. Where would I check the fuses, just in case? I haven't done it before. Let me know.

One last thing. Is it possible to cut the wire ends going to the bulbs and re-terminate them? They are kind of messed up and might not be staying on tight, which could cause this issue. Is there a way to cut it and put a new connector on and crimp it down? Let me know. I'd rather not get an entirely new harness and re-run all the wiring. Also, I should note that i don't have connectors at the end. I have a red and black wire running to each bulb for the fogs. Red = power, Black = ground. The connections are definitely not as tight as they used to be and it wouldn't hurt to redo the female ends to them so that they get tight connection to the bulb. Anyone done this?

They were out because the grounds were lose. I need to redo the connector female spade connector ends of the wires. They are rusted and loose and come off sometimes due to movement of the car. Anyone ever replaced the female spade connectors for the foglights?

I have several parts I need to complete and improve my somewhat ghetto foglight install.

I need 2 additional clips (the metal ones that slide over the plastic holes and allow you to screw the light into it rather then just screwing onto the plastic) 2 screws to fit the clips, and also 4 female spade connector ends to redo the wire ends because they are beat to high hell and keep coming loose. The problem is I am unsure what sizes are needed of the clips, screws, and female spade connectors.

I THINK that it is a #8 clip and #8 screw, but i am not entirely sure. If anyone could verify this I would greatly appreciate it.

As for the spade connectors, the smallest I could find was .187...They looked close, but I could find no smaller.

Any help here would be greatly appreciated. Not to mention, how hard would it be for me to cut my wires at the end and put the new female spade connectors on, since my old ones are rusted out and old? Is it reccomended to get waterproof spade connectors instead?
