In a few weeks I am going to be taking my heads off to inspect for possible damage to one of the cyl. I will also be installing new seals, springs, seats and all that fun sun stuff. Then finally throwing on the VT stage II cams. I was wondering if anybody has a good write up on taking the heads out and a write up on front cover disasembly. Thanks in advance

I don't know about the heads but Modular Depot has an excellent write up on installing cams and valve springs and it will have the information on how to get the timing cover off. Here's the link: http://www.************.com/?show=articlesdet&aid=39

The only issue I had with it was this
Remove (3) visible 10mm bolts holding the power steering pump on the driver side of the motor. The last bolt is a captive bolt meaning it can’t be removed entirely from the assembly

There are three bolts plus a captive bolt. Other than that it is a great write up. On the same site there is a write up on setting the timing.

just take your time and pay attention to everything. Its not a big deal but it can be time consuming. We (www.deepstageperformance.com) have done several head removals on mod motor cars (2v & 4v). Just make sure you time the cams properly when putting it back together
