removing needles on gauge cluster

i'm installing some white face gauges and need to remove the needles first.

how do i remove them? i have no tool to remove them.

what have you guys done?

My white face guages came with a tool. You could also use two knives or something stiff and thin, put it under the base of the needle and pull it off the gauge.

A salad fork is used to remove the needles on page 2.

i was using the fork method but then i heared a crack sound and that freaked me out so i stopped and made this post.

i decided to try again on a different needle and it makes that cracking sound as it comes out LOL

thanks for the help.

Has anybody removed the stock gauge faces before? i tried but i cant remove it where the needles are.
