I know what's involved to remove it all but does anybody have any idea how I would route my belt? Smog is useless down here and my a/c is toast anyway so I'm taking it out for the time being nor is it a daily driver and we are getting a manual rack so power steering is not long needed either.

I've heard guys grind the stop off of the tensioner to give it more travel. Thing is, the further out you let it go, the less tension it provides. Probably enough for just alt & water pump. I believe I would try to drill another hole in the alt bracket allowing you to mount the tensioner pulley more up and to the right. This should allow a belt from the crank to the alt to be pushed over far enough to catch the water pump. I've given this a lot of thought recently because I was going to do the same thing for a 351 in a 95. I ended up with a March kit & electric pump instead. Check out part # 30060 toward the bottom of the page. I think you could use this setup to model from. Consider their idler pulley as your tensioner and then put the belt on top of it instead of under. I think it'd catch the water pump just fine.

I just did it and the ps deleted was horrible and made my car not even worth driving on the street. I tried a number of different sizes and none worked unless I used my smog delete pulley. I think the belt I ended up with was a 69.5". I have since added the ps back.

I use a 590K6 to delete those three and I have ASP pulleys. Most people use a 595K6.
